Anyone could express such sentiment to accurately describe the era in which they live.At Amanaki—meaning hope in the Tongan language of the Polynesian islands - we hope to embody a quality of hope that transcends both rejection and acceptance, encompassing the essence of tradition and the conflicts of the present, including personal anxieties and universal realities.
Nestled on the edge of inexorable change, Amanaki rises like an oasis of harmony and contrast. It embodies the desire to harmonize Saigon's endless charm with a contemporary space that is constantly expanding its global reach.
Stepping into Amanaki, visitors feel as if they've entered a time capsule, where time stands still, just like life outside, and from there they find peace and clarity. From here, they enter a space that is both tangible and intangible, a contemplative journey into the realm of things that may or may not yet be known, or perhaps even more distant. From exquisite wooden furniture from the Southwest region to fine art ceramics from the Southeast region, Amanaki's collection aims to symbolize authentic values from the past: aesthetics borrowed from the French colonial era of the renowned Indochina School of Fine Arts; the exquisite sculpting skills of Southern Vietnamese artisans; and a modern, experimental, and unconventional influence within a multicultural context. Furthermore, reverence for Nature is the thread that runs through all our activities and is a core element in the comprehensive experience we strive to provide.
